Benjamin Muñoz is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dallas. His practice encompasses painting, installation, and monumental printmaking. Growing up in Corpus Christi, Texas, the vibrant Chicano culture and local traditions deeply influenced and significantly impacted his work. Muñoz’s compositions are often arranged in a stack, symbolizing the foundational work of our ancestors and the importance of generational ties. As a largely self-taught artist and the middle child of artist brothers, he draws inspiration from and reflects on his Mexican heritage and upbringing. Through his work, Muñoz envisions future generations achieving what was previously out of reach, connecting past, present, and future.
